We loved the Finest Playa Mujeres (Mexico) so much we went twice! Check out that blog here. We were so excited to hear that they were opening another location in Dominican and looked forward to switching things up a bit since we have never been to the Dominican Republic. Unfortunately due to the global pandemic their grand opening was delayed, but was finally opened in October 2021 and we promptly booked our stay soon after in January 2022.
The main entrance and lobby was beautiful! You can tell that they incorporated "newer" trends in the material selections compared to the Playa Mujeres location.
If you booked a "club" suite then your concierge is behind these doors for all your needs.
A mandatory stop at The Sweet Corner before going to see our room. An all day cafe where you can get coffee, baked goods, yogurts, sandwiches and my kids favourite, ice cream!
*TIP*: Download their app so you can see all the restaurants available and it's menu!
It is the best feeling looking up and seeing palm trees - finally!
The room we booked is the FINEST CLUB IMPERIAL FAMILY SUITE WITH PLUNGE POOL. It is the largest suite available at 2500 sq ft and is located on the 3rd floor with spectacular views of the ocean, beach, and club pool. Prices start around 659/night USD (depending on time of year and flights are not included).
Other than space, views, etc. here are some extras that made this suite worth while:

Butler service for luggage unpacking and packing
[ when you got kiddos, this truly helps take that pressure off]
One special jacuzzi decoration per stay
Unlimited access to One Aqua hydrotherapy circuit
[ David and I utilized this A LOT while my parents were with us, and it was fantastic! Since our room came with unlimited access my parents got to go as well. So good for the body! ]
Laundry service of one outfit per person per day
[ Since we were here for a month this was super handy! For reference... 1 pair of underwear was 5 USD otherwise ]
Private airport transfer to and from Punta Cana International Airport
[ We always do this just because with kids you don't want to wait to find a taxi or share the ride - plus when it's private you can request car seats ]
Loved having a living room for the kids to eat whenever we ordered room service!
Now that we're a family of 5 it's great that the kids had their own bathroom + room.

Loved the plunge pool. When we would have a slow start and room service breakfast, it was great to not feel like you're missing out not being downstairs.

Love this mama tote bag from Myno&Co! The room comes with a beach bag that you can use, but this one is WAY cuter!
Loved how the Club Pool was right next to the beach so the kids were able to enjoy both!

Tropical Juice Bar was my personal fav! There were so many smoothies available, but they were more than happy to come up with some custom mixes for us to keep it fresh - literally!

It is difficult to find beautifully designed resorts that are family friendly. This resort is perfect for families with little kids (that aren't at the Nickelodeon stage). It truly has best of both worlds! Love that the Excellence Resort (adults only) is connected so you can bring the grandparents or even visit their restaurants for date night!
